How does it work? Let’s assume that some person, let’s name him Jack, goes to the park early in the morning just before sunrise on a beautiful summer day for his walking meditation. Jack walks and slows his mind enough that he is walking without thoughts. Jack’s body is walking and his mind is controlling his walking, so Jack’s body and mind are solely aware of his walking…

Earth’s 24 hour day would not be long enough for my busy lifestyle…

A seemingly simple choice can be the most difficult – while constructing Sadhana Yoga Studio, we spent a considerable amount of energy and time to pick paint colors which would be at once uplifting, homely, and grounding. Orange and yellow seemed a bit nontraditional, but that’s how our guts guided us. At the conclusion of the renovation, Paul, Larisa, and Dan took a three week foray to India. While staying at an ashram in Allahahbad, they visited the nearby Nageshwar Temple. Upon their arrival and inspection of the cozy local house of prayer all doubts about paint color dissolved. We don’t believe in coincidences, do you?

Stories from the Kumbha Mela: Golden Touch

We passed our morning journeying along the grounds of the Kumbha Mela, the world’s largest spiritual gathering. We roamed through busy bazaars with barterers bargaining for vibrant saffron dyes, mala beads, and other spiritual wares. We meandered with congregations of radiant holy men and zealous spiritual seekers. At their confluence, we offered our deference to the holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna and the mystical underground Saraswati. It was a morning brimming with wonder, excitement, and new experiences….
