Roasted Leeks with a Crispy Bread Crumb Topping

We love leeks. Simple and delicious, these roasted leeks require only a handful of ingredients and the heat of an oven to draw out savory magic. Plus, they are super good for your heart!

Roasted Leeks with a Crispy Bread Crumb Topping

Serves 4
  • 4 Leeks, white and pale-green parts only, cut in half lengthwise
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
  • Freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  1. Preheat oven to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Slice each leek, white and pale-green parts only, in half lengthwise. Rinse very well.
  3. Place leeks, cut side up, on a baking sheet.
  4. Brush leeks with olive oil and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
  5. Bake until leeks are lightly browned on cut sides and tender, about 40-50 minutes.
